The project draws upon a combination of science and technology studies (STS), digital media studies, infrastructure studies, feminist technoscience and design, and is composed of an interdisciplinary team of researchers. We also have two amazing external consultants — Lucy Suchman, Univ. of Lancaster, and Jonathan Gray, King’s College) — helping us out!
Ana Viseu
PI
Assistant professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at NOVA University, and a researcher at ICNOVA. Her research agenda is on the practices of development and use of emergent technologies. She is interested in cyborg studies, feminist technoscience, digital media studies and social studies of science.
Paulo Nuno Vicente
Co-PI
Associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences at NOVA University, and researcher at ICNOVA, where he founded iNOVA Media Lab. His research interests are in the areas of digital media studies, the social and cultural study of Artificial Intelligence, interactive and immersive Media
Hande Ayanoglu
Member
Assistant professor at IADE, Universidade Europeia, and the Executive Director of UNIDCOM, IADE’s research center. She has been involved in research projects in the areas of emotional design, interactions human-robot, interaction design and product design.
Ana Delicado
Member
Senior Research Fellow at Instituto de Ciências Sociais (ICS), Universidade de Lisboa. She has led numerous activities in science engagement and citizen science. Her research interest is in social studies of science.
João Pedro Pereira
Research Fellow
Doctoral student in Sociology at ISCTE-IUL. He has a Master’s degree in Development Studies (ISCTE-IUL). His doctoral research is in the social dimensions of the automatization of labour.
