As the project comes to an end, we engaged in some fieldwork. On Jan. 13th, the team travelled to Pombal to visit Brisa’s “Colibri Express” pod store on highway A1 followed by a visit to Continente’s new autonomous store in Leiria. In both stores we had the opportunity to talk to the manager’s as well as experimenting with the actual “intelligent” payment system to better understand the customer experience. This allowed us to quizz the “intelligence” of the store and also understand its quirks. Below some pics.
